The building provides an additional 25,000 ft2 to the existing headquarters of Lombard Nat West Commercial Services, a member of the National Westminster Bank Group and UK's leading factoring organisation. With most of the staff using desk top computers, good ventilation was essential. After a detailed study the offices were designed in a shallow depth around an open sided courtyard, using natural ventilation. The courtyard faces south and an open space opposite has been landscaped to make the parkland seem an extension of the offices. Cars have specifically been kept out of the courtyard in order to maintain the green tranquil setting for the building. The semi-circular arches which are a feature of the exterior are also carried through into the entrance hall.
